planted on the front gate oh man you gotta hand it to him just painting rock and roll history right there on the gate it's amazing it feels like every bear member has their own space so i can see everyone he really did a great job with the composition composition composition is the parts of something and how they're put together [Music] well that's handy yeah you're right ziggy the parts of this mural really do work great together good composition just like y'all said but composition's also all the things something's made of right like how the gate's made of wood screws and a wheel yep other evening i saw you had a lot of space here i was wondering if there's a place i could use to rehearse after class more artists huh neat what kind of art do you do i'm a ballet dancer how wonderful you must absolutely come in i'm sure we could find something i've actually got to catch the bus to get to class could i come by later sure we'll be here thanks oh bye why does he go to school if he already knows how to be a dancer oh our to study and practice their art their whole lives all professionals work in their jobs do each day better than the last well speaking of working a job and clearing aisles and adding science to the junkyard today yeah if the city wants to rezone this place and turn it into a shopping center let's show them that we are a shopping center already you know we got the whole place organized into departments appliances over there you know the library's back there man we even got a whole transportation section with old school buses and campers and canoes sounds great river signs around this place will help i gotta find jack first see if you can give me a hand bye river have fun making signs there seems to be a lot going on around here besides junk business these days la taga stopping by is just another example of an artist who needs something first the muralist who painted our gate then the poet who read poetry on the roof now a dancer makes sense the more artists who move here the more things like theaters and galleries a community needs to have around for them to be able to create their art you think with all the new people moving to pleasant valley the city planners would have planned for these needs you are so right pat a community should have homes parks and spaces for the arts all over so people can easily enjoy them is that why the dancer stopped by because the pleasant valley planners only made homes and stores but but no art spaces that's exactly why i just wish there was something we could do to help out all these artists so so artists need a place to make art and people want a place to enjoy art near their home you know what pleasant valley needs is a community art center what about that all roller rink that closed down that would be a great place for an art center oh that sounds awesome but what's a roller rink a roller rink is a big building where you put on shoes with wheels and roll around in a big oval to funky music oh fun but it closed down yeah i guess people forgot how fun it is to roller skate and just stopped going so now it could be an art center but what's an art center it's a big space people can go to see art and artists can go to make art every community should have one cynthia it's an amazing idea we could hold a benefit here for the junkyard to raise money for it [Applause] how exciting but what's a benefit it's a party or event to raise money for something usually a good cause like an art center there's entertainment and food and some way for people to give their money as support and we could do one here at the junkyard bingo well i am supercharged about this benefit and i've got lots of ideas about how to arrange things come on ziggy let's go outside i want to start clearing space for the tiger to rehearse at making plans for this benefit okay let's go oh you want to come to cynthia no well i've got some time on my hands i'm going to see if river shopping center signs for the junkyard and the junk truck just made its delivery left us a whole new pile to explore man who knows what's in it jack jack jack's just sitting there looks like he's thinking about something real deep right you know he's probably got visions of robots and engines and giant machines dancing around his head now those are jack thoughts all right but he's probably meditating which means he's sitting there not thinking you know as a way to relax what's he doing man i don't know jack [Music] i just really want to make these signs you know honestly i'm worried about the uv 40 rezoning thing and the junk yard maybe getting shut down you know this was my aunt's place it kind of hurts just maybe thinking about losing it i'm just trying to you know keep things as they are you know i do this is hard river but you're doing your best you compose the speech to give it the city council meeting and your signs will make it so everyone will see all the possibilities of this place you got this friend we're all in this together no matter what and what will be will be oh thanks cynthia you know it seems i'm all grown up still learning to deal with worrying about things i can't control jack dude what are you doing seriously this ignoring us thing is getting out of hand river cynthia hi i was just about to have a chat with our friends here who where i like that you're putting it together and figuring it out keep thinking [Music] it's amazing technique la tiger how long have you been studying dance since i was seven so many years now wow did you learn anything new in your class today i did i learned how to keep my leg more straight when i leap so my lines match the other dancers in the piece that we're doing well you have to match other dancers yes sometimes it depends on the choreography what's choreography it's the composition of a dance ziggy all the movements put together to form a piece of art whoa neat so you have to do all those moves to do the dance yes and it's different for each dance whoa well that's a lot of learning that's a lot of moving it's a lot of fun will you teach me sure now hold your arms out and raise them up and back down nice now let's try that again but this time arms come out and open out lean to the side lovely yes oh yes oh bat i'm learning to dance yeah you are zig zag that looks awesome yeah let it be hi friends hi teacher i miss quantum science class and intergalactic writing lab but i'm learning so much here on earth especially about the arts this evening i danced that's when you move your body into shapes to make art it was great i've learned that even artists have to learn about art because you need skills to make art and today i learned about composition which is the parts of something and how those parts are arranged i learned it matters a lot how things are arranged that it's important for earth communities to have dance schools and art spaces so bands can practice and dances can rehearse and painters can make murals and that every community should always have a junkyard because a junkyard has so many possibilities inside of it [Music] i wonder what i'll find
