UW Milwaukee researchers study possible alternative to Waukesha proposal.
In early December, Waukesha will release its formal request to divert Lake Michigan water to replace wells contaminated with radium. Such a diversion would be permitted under the Great Lakes Compact if there is no viable alternative water supply. In Wisconsin reporter Art Hackett discovered studies that point to a possible alternative which would not require a diversion.
