Five months after the 2016 floods, retired Vietnam era veteran John Johnson was living with his wife in a utility shed. Today the Denham Springs couple are in a new trailer and, thanks to the efforts of the veteran-run service organization “Our H.O.M.E.” - they now have a new deck and wheelchair ramp.
