GUEST: Oh, yeah.
APPRAISER: And that's the sign of purity and love and togetherness.
GUEST: Oh.
APPRAISER: So I think it's, it's a very sentimental piece.
It's, it's telling a bigger story.
We've got freshwater pearls that are forming this beautiful frame.
GUEST: Yeah.
APPRAISER: And then the biggest question is, what is this center stone?
GUEST: Right.
APPRAISER: And while we'd like it to be a sapphire, it's a synthetic, so it's a manmade stone.
Oh, it is synthetic.
GUEST: Oh, okay.
APPRAISER: Yes.
And they actually started making the synthetics in the late 1800s.
GUEST: I didn't know that.
APPRAISER: So, this piece is early 1900s.
GUEST: Oh.
APPRAISER: And they weren't trying to do a deceptive technique at all.
GUEST: Right.
APPRAISER: It, it was about affordability and being able to produce more stones so everybody could enjoy them.
So I think this is marvelous.
It's in beautiful condition the whole way around.
This would be roughly $100 to $200.
GUEST: Okay, well, thank you.
Yeah.
APPRAISER: But it's a darling, darling piece.
GUEST: I-I know, love it.
